Credit card question 2...
December 9, 2008 - Do all credit cards work the same? Again, if i borrow 500 dollars on a mastercard credit card and after interest and fees the balance comes to 675 dollars.
Each credit card company has several tiers of customers. Further, you are subject to universal default -- miss a payment on one card and other cards can raise your rate or change your terms, even if you are current. ... ... That's why each card comes with a nice little pamphlet filled with gory details. READ THEM!
- Depends on the contract. All charge interest. Some waive "membership" fees if you pay your whole balance every month. But what's the fun in that?
- It is better to pay it all, but it will not go against you to pay it out in payments, but it will be more.
- for every month you owe a balance, they charge you a fee and interest, unless you pay in full before your statment date, or you get on durring a promotional period and they do not charge you interest for a set period of time...
Any time you have a balance on a credit card, you will be charged a certain finance charge fee. You can avoid all future finance charges only IF you pay the entire balance you owe totally off. If not, you can pay a set amount each month. They will usually tell you what the MINIMUM amount you can pay each month, and, depending on the interest rate of your credit card, you will see a finance charge added onto your bill for as long as you keep a balance. GL Hope I was some help. :)
- No, they DO NOT.
